General information
Protecting your personal data matters to us. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations and this privacy policy. Personal data is any information that can be used to identify you personally.
Hosting
This website is hosted on Firebase Hosting, a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. When you visit the website, your browser automatically sends information to the server, where it is stored temporarily in server log files. This may include the following data:
- IP address
- Date and time of the request
- Page/URL visited
- Browser type and version
- Operating system
- Referrer URL
The processing is based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in providing the website securely and reliably). Firebase Hosting delivers content via a worldwide network of servers, so a transfer to the USA cannot be ruled out. Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. You can find more information in Google’s privacy policy and at Firebase: Privacy and security.
Contact by email
If you contact us by email, for example about a pilot place, we process your email address and the details in your message in order to answer your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where your enquiry is aimed at a contract, and otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in answering it). We delete the data as soon as it is no longer needed for this purpose and no statutory retention obligations prevent this.
Signing in and downloading the app
On the “Download the app” page you can create an aiCEO account and sign in. For this we use Firebase Authentication from Google Ireland Limited. This involves processing your email address, your password (stored only as a hash), the times your account was created and you signed in, and your IP address. Firebase also sends you the emails for confirming your address and resetting your password.
After you sign in, the page asks our backend (Google Cloud Run, Frankfurt) whether your account has been activated. In doing so, the backend creates an entry in our database (Google Firestore, Frankfurt) with your email address, the activation status and the date the entry was created. You download the installer from our storage at Google Cloud Storage in Frankfurt.
The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (providing the app in the pilot programme). You use the same account in the aiCEO app, which has its own privacy notice. You can delete the account in the app at any time or ask us by email to delete it. Firebase Authentication may also process data in the USA; Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
SSL/TLS encryption
For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, this site uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the browser’s address bar starting with “https://” and showing a padlock icon.
Cookies and local storage
This website does not set any cookies and does not include any tracking or analytics services.
If you sign in on the “Download the app” page, your browser keeps the sign-in in session storage until you close the tab or sign out. This is technically necessary for signing in (§ 165 (3) TKG 2021, the Austrian Telecommunications Act).
The website is available in German, English or Russian. On your first visit, it chooses the language based on your browser settings; this happens only in your browser. If you choose a language at the top of the page, your browser saves this choice in local storage so that the website appears in that language on your next visit. This information is not transmitted to us and is necessary for the function you have chosen (§ 165 (3) TKG 2021). You can delete it by clearing the site data in your browser.
Fonts
The fonts used on this website are delivered together with the website. No connection is made to the servers of Google Fonts or any other font provider.
Your rights
You have the following rights towards us regarding the personal data concerning you:
- Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR)
- Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)
- Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
- Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
- Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR)
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. In Austria, this is the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Datenschutzbehörde), Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Wien, email: dsb@dsb.gv.at, www.dsb.gv.at. You can also contact the supervisory authority of the EU country in which you live or work.
Changes to this privacy policy
We reserve the right to amend this privacy policy so that it always meets current legal requirements or to reflect changes to our services. The new privacy policy will then apply to your next visit.
